The origin of the English word school derives from the Latin schola, which originates from the Greek scholé, all meaning leisure. The Godberd Alternative School is founded upon this etymology, focusing on the enjoyment of learning as a basic human right, while also strongly believing that leisure should not be exclusive to the privileged or those who dwell in ivory towers. Each semester, we host a diverse set of lectures and workshops at an extremely affordable price, open to anybody no matter their background. We happily offer scholarships to those with extremely pressing financial need. For enrollment info, please contact the instructor with whom you'd wish to study (their emails are in their bios). The summer semester begins in July! Classes are $250 for a 6-9 week tutorial.
